Maintenance Manager

As Maintenance Manager, your twofold mission is to: (1) take ownership of our day-to-day preventive maintenance operations as you support all maintenance projects, both long and short term and; (2) introduce your ideas for innovation and improvement into our systems and processes to enhance our performance indicators. To be a good fit for this position, you'll bring solid technical capability, including PLC program knowledge, along with extensive P&L expertise and ability to manage capital projects as you galvanize the team to meet our production targets and motivate and focus the team on a shared vision.
What Else You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-7 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment including fillers, capers, labelers and case packers.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of THM, 5S and Lean/Six Sigma quality systems.
- Strong leadership and team building skills.
- Self-initiative for diving into issues, assuming ownership, and following though to conclusion
- Impeccable communication skills to interface with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to integrate customer needs and functional unit objectives to achieve business unit objectives.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment.
- Ability to be on-call in a 24/7 environment and work evenings/weekends as needed.
- Beverage industry background is highly desirable.

More About Your Role
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you'll provide leadership to two plant personnel including a Lead Maintenance Technician and Maintenance Parts Purchasing Clerk.
As you can imagine, this is a hit the ground running position and you will focus on achieving the following objectives by the end of the first year:
- Improve line efficiencies by 10% across the board.
- Develop a preventive maintenance/equipment rebuild program as you aim to improve preventive maintenance by 10%.
In general, your specific responsibilities are to:
- Plan, develop and implement departmental expectations.
- Manage the overall direction of maintenance personnel, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and documenting all safety/accident incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Production, Human Resource, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Finance to meet production targets.
- Manage the Capital Program.
- Manage the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Manage Wastewater system.
- Manage ADT security system.
- Maintain fire system and fire prevention program.
- Coordinate forklift maintenance.
- Manage maintenance parts procurement and budget.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve machines and plant equipment to maximize efficiency.
- Support the execution of capital projects; suggest changes in working conditions, and recommend/implement process improvements.
- Manage departmental budget.
- Ensure required licenses and permits are obtained and maintained to include air, water, fire, etc.

To excel in this role you will require strong technical savvy, grounded knowledge of our products and processes, and a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement. You'll also truly enjoy getting out on the floor and being involved in the day-to-day production. In addition, in order to be an outstanding Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Run your department proactively, minimizing the need for "firefighter" mode.

- Showcase flexibility and a "whatever it takes" attitude to get the job done right, including working 60+ hour weeks and being on-call at nights and weekends.
